Purified Mouse Monoclonal Antibody Anti-Beta LH (luteinising hormone)
LH is a tropic hormone, which modulates the secretory activity of other endocrine glands. It is produced in the anterior hypophysis of the pituitary gland. The glycoprotein hormone, LH, like follicle stimulating hormone and thyroid stimulating hormone, is composed of a common alpha-subunit but also a specific betasubunit, which characterizes each of these hormones. LH producing adenomas represent approximately 6% of pituitary adenomas. LH / FSH secreting adenomas have slow growth and at the time of diagnosis are generally large, though rarely associated with high serum levels of gonadotropins. LH secreting adenomas are only rare. Null adenomas and oncocytomas do not show clinically or biochemically signs of hormone production but in the pituitary they tissue show focally expression of LH, FSH, TSH and alpha subunit.
Composition: anti-human LH mouse monoclonal antibody purified and prepared in 10mM PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.2% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide
Intended use : Immunohistochemistry (IHC) on paraffin embedded tissues. Not tested on frozen tissues or Western-Blotting
Ig isotype: mouse IgG1/k
Immunogen: LH purified from human pituitary gland
Species reactivity: In vitro diagnostics in humans. Not tested in other species
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:
Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin) (Ab at 1:2000 for 20 min using LV’s UltraVision LP Systems, at 1:300 to 1:500 for 30 min with LV’s UltraVision)
* [Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.]
The optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by the investigator.
